about

Duncan’s dream is to arrive to a session one day and hear a melody he wrote being played by a complete stranger. My dream is to be there when he realises and starts shouting “YEAH, I TOTALLY WROTE THAT!!!” This song, however, is about different dreams… about the dreams you often don’t know you had until they get suddenly fulfilled.

lyrics

Maybe you’ll get to see
Branches dancing in the wind
Maybe you’ll feel
Soft blades of grass under your feet.
Maybe you’ll get to hear
Call of the distance,
I’ll be waiting till you find the way
And share that day with me.

Maybe you’ll get to dream.
Just like I did, to meet you here.
Maybe you’ll notice,
crickets singing all around the field.
Maybe you’ll breath
and feel that you are one with every tree.
Maybe you’ll greet the Sun
and share that time with me.

Maybe you’ll see the sky.
Sitting on top of highest mountain
you will reach the stars
and make one fall down, to the land.
Maybe then with your feet
you’ll feel the rock, like solid ground
Sky above head
and around you the World to see,
like open hand.

With the sound of strings
you will be shining, like the moon.
The path you chose to walk
carries the song, your favourite tune.
Te eyes will close and dream
with stories seeded, nosy mind,
waiting for sunrise me and you
to wake us up
when I will find you
in the morning next to me
and where you slept we’ll get to see
few little lights
here in the grass
the fear to pass
the love to be
